YOU FAIL ONCE AGAIN, AMAZON. I spent 6 bucks to have the Sims 3 shipped to me on its release date - today - and you send me an email telling me that the shipping has been delayed. At least you had the good sense to refund the shipping cost, but frankly I'd rather have the game. I knew I should have just asked my dad to drive me to Best Buy and gotten it there. I'll probably get the game tomorrow at 1 o'clock, 40 minutes before I have to go to work. D:
However, once I do have the game in my greedy little hands ... well, if you hear a story on the news about some Maryland girl starving to death in front of her computer, with her skin grafted onto her mouse ...

HOKAY. Saw Star Trek on Saturday and practically had geekgasm. They should have called that movie "Watch Chris Pine get his pretty face beat in." In the best way, of course. The funny thing is that Zachary Quinto in real life doesn't do much for me (seriously, dude, police those eyebrows) but as Spock? PHWOAR. I think it's the pointy ears.
In other news, my father is practically falling apart. He had a really bad virus last week and got so dehydrated he had to go to the hospital. They kept him overnight because his kidneys had started to fail, then sent him home with antibiotics, but now he keeps getting dizzy and breaking out into a sweat. They're gonna so some tests to see what's wrong with him.
And my birthday is in 3 days. :D

Sigh. I wish it was April 30th already. Right now I'm staring forlornly at dreamwidth going 'I WANT TO GIVE YOU MY MONEY. WHY WON'T YOU TAKE IT??? D:' I don't plan on leaving IJ (I didn't leave LJ when GJ popped up. I'm good at multitasking) but it will be nice to be on a journal site that has a pretty layout and no ads cluttering up every available space. I plan on buying a paid account as soon as I can, and will pass out codes to anyone who wants them.
I'm not unhappy with IJ at all - it has its issues, but Squeaky does the best he can, and he's miles above the boneheads who ran GJ - but dreamwidth is all new and shiny and I like shiny things. I cannot help it. :(

I got a new cell phone. :D It's the Blackberry Curve in pink. I bought my mom the Blackberry Storm since they were have a Buy One Get One Free sale. I <3 my little pink phone. It does EVERYTHING and it's so easy to use. Now everyone in my family has a Blackberry, haha.

We had SNOW yesterday: WHOO HOO! But then it turned to ICE. BOOO. So I'm going into work late (I originally go in at 4) because there's no way in hell I'm walking in this mess. These idiots out here can't drive anyway and there's ice all over the ground and I don't have health insurance. I don't need the money that bad.
My father's 50th birthday is tomorrow. :D And my Generation Kill DVDs arrive on Friday, I hope. I'll be pissed if they're not here. I WANT TO WATCH HOT MARINES SHOOT GUNS AND SWEAR.

I got a PS3 for Christmas. :D It's so freaking awesome. The picture on the Blu Ray is so good, tomorrow I'm going to go shopping for a game and probably a movie too. Only trouble is, I have to work, and I have a photoshoot for my hairdresser's website at 10, so I have to get up early. D: Oh well, I'll just have some coffee.
We went and saw The Day the Earth Stood Still today. It was all right, but not much actually happened and it ended quite abruptly. The most exciting thing about it was the trailer for Wolverine: Origins, which I am dying to see. The only thing that bugged me was the fact that Gambit's eyes weren't red and black. WTF, movie makers?

Me and my dad when Christmas shopping for my mother tonight, after I got my hair done. We went to Best Buy and Office Depot and found squat, so we tried Circuit City and wound up getting my mom this laptop. It was a little more than we wanted to spend, but getting a laptop that nice for $699 when it was originally over $800 is a damn good deal. The only problem is that now I have no money to buy a gift for my father until I get paid, which might either be Christmas Eve or the day after Christmas. Oops. :/

!!! THREE DEGREES. That's what it feels like outside right now! It is COLD AS BALLS HERE. And it's only December, it'll get even colder in January. UGH. And we had freezing rain this morning, so there's ice everywhere. My knees hurt so bad.
Can it be spring yet?
EDIT: I'm re watching OZ and ugh, Beecher/Keller break my heart. Their love is so tragic. D:

After hearing about Merlin all over LJ, I decided to give the show a go, and I'm about 4 episodes in already after starting to watch it last night. It took me a while to find it online, since bbc.com doesn't let people outside the UK watch the episodes on their website. (FAIL, BBC.) And oh my god, this show is SO GAY. First of all, the dragon totally ships Merlin/Arthur (as does ... just about everyone else on the internet) and says stuff like "the half cannot truly hate that which makes it whole" and "Arthur is the other side of your coin." Merlin is Arthur's MANSERVANT, OK? And Merlin is such a big-eared dork, and Arthur is such a prick with a heart of gold and he goes on a dangerous mission to SAVE MERLIN FROM DEATH BECAUSE THEY ARE CLEARLY IN LOVE. MERLIN DRINKS POISON FOR ARTHUR AND WHISPERS ARTHUR'S NAME ON HIS DEATHBED GOD THEY ARE SO MEANT TO BE. AND I TOTALLY SHIP MORGANA/GWEN TOO. The special effects are SO TERRIBLE and the set is made out of CARDBOARD AND DUCT TAPE AND LMAO I LOVE THIS BIG GAY SHOW SO MUCH.
Also, went and got my Christmas tree yesterday and I'm going to decorate it tomorrow. I know it's not cool or whatever to like Christmas, but I SO DO AND I DO NOT CARE WHO KNOWS IT. I love decorations and lights and the cheesy music and JUST EVERYTHING ABOUT IT OK? In fact, I think I'm going to listen to Christmas music right now!
And I NEED TO STOP GETTING CHARACTER IDEAS. THERE ARE LIKE 28463344 COMMS I WANT TO JOIN NOW. >:[
